Klamath Falls Water Heater Repair or Replacement

We use our water heaters every single day and hardly ever think to give them a second thought. That is, until our hot water stops working, then it is pandemonium. We are so used to turning a faucet handle and having hot water come out almost immediately. When this doesn’t happen, we are shocked and immediately know what the culprit is…that old water heater. Don’t wait until your water heater quits working before you call us. Our plumber’s have experience with water heater repair, diagnostics and replacement if needed. I mention “if needed” because ideally Klamath Falls Plumbing wants to save you some money and try to prolong the life of your current hot water unit without replacing . We can usually accomplish this via diagnosing the problem the water heater is having and possibly repairing it or replacing a minor part within the water heater to get it up and running again.

  • Water Heater Repair

Repairing your existing hot water heater is much more cost effective then replacing it entirely. Sometimes the fix can be very simple such as relighting the pilot light or pressing the reset button. The reset button can trip for several reasons including a power surge or even a thunder storm, if your Reset Button keeps tripping on a weekly or even a daily basis, it could be a symptom of a more serious problem. Call Klamath Falls Plumbers and ask about our maintenance services. Other common repairs include replacing the thermopile, heating elements, gas control valve, gas burner, or the thermal switch. Basically just because your unit stopped working doesn’t automatically justify replacing it entirely. Klamath Falls Plumbers can repair gas and electric water heaters. Give us a call and lets try and save that water heater.

  • Water Heater Replacement

Symptoms that signify you may need to replace your water heater are symptoms such as increased water heating recovery time, basically how long it takes to heat the water up. Or maybe your water heaters tank is running out of hot water faster than it used too. Or you may notice when the gas water heater is heating up you hear all kinds of crackling and popping sounds coming from inside the tank, this is a sign of sediment buildup in your water heater tank. Or maybe you are just sick and tired of costly water heater repairs adding up.

The time has come…we’ve ran our diagnostic tests and determined your unit is not savable. Don’t worry we will get your brand new water heater installed quickly. The first step in the water heater installation process is to shut the gas and water off to the unit and drain your existing water heater.  While it is draining we will disconnect your old non functional unit and associated parts and haul them off. At this time it may be a good idea to upgrade your water heater valves. We will then install the relief valve, reinstall the water lines, reattach the exhaust flue and gas line, check for any leaks, then finally relight the pilot light. All in all it should take a few hours to replace your water heater.

Tankless Water Heater

What the heck is a slab leak? Doesn’t sound good. A slab leak is when you have a leaking pipe underground, underneath a slab of concrete. Typically it will be a burst water pipe, damaged pipe, or sewer line leak. Slab leaks are typically not small leaks and can easily be determined and fixed by a Klamath Falls Plumber. However if you think you have a leaky pipe underground it is very important to get it diagnosed and fixed ASAP. Like all plumbing leaks this is not a problem that gets better with time. All plumbing leaks need to be fixed as soon as possible to minimize damage to your home and increased utility bills. The symptoms can go unnoticed due to the nature of their location. One way to tell is if you have a sudden spike in your water bill. This symptom can be applied to all plumbing leaks really. If you haven’t had any house guests lately or filled up a swimming pool in the past month and, all and all, it is a pretty typical month of water consumption for your home and your water bill is much higher. You may have a plumbing leak. Other symptoms of slab leaks may include wet flooring or wet carpet or lower than normal water pressure in your home. It is certainly going to take more than a pipe clamp to fix this one. Give us a call.
